  • Overview

    Support the Senior Agency Official for Privacy (SAOP)/ Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) in complying with regulatory requirements. Major task areas encompass privacy program development and maturity improvements, policy and procedural updates and development, ensuring content is updated and provided to the training division privacy and PII incident response, privacy risk management, SAOP FISMA reporting, supporting Exhibit 300 reviews, and support for internal and external data calls.


    • Update existing Privacy Policy and establishing new Privacy Policy to support relevant Federal law and supporting directives and guidance
    • Conduct a crosswalk of all Privacy compliance requirements Content development and content updating of Privacy training for Agency personnel. These trainings include:
      • New Employee Orientation (NEO) for Direct Hires (DH)
      • DH and contractor onboarding
      • Annual Privacy Awareness
      • Role-based training content development review
      • Tip of the Day content development for Privacy
      • System user and role-based trainings
    • Manage of the Privacy Office email box to include tracking, filing, tasking assignments, and responding to correspondence
    • Maintain and update the internal and external Privacy website pages
    • Support Privacy functions to include all system of record processes such as PTAs, PIAs, Privacy Act Statements, Privacy Policy Notices, SORNs, Forms and Survey Reviews, ODPAs, Routine Uses, Contract Reviews, Website Compliance, etc.
    • Provide staff the customer support and assistance necessary in completing privacy documentation
    • Ensure all established Privacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and updated annually or when there is a significant change to procedures. Create new SOPs when required
    • Update templates and the support guidance documentation annually or as needed, manage data calls, audit responses, teleconferences on behalf of the CPO in meetings and serve as technical SME for draft response to inquiries
    • Provide support to USAID Privacy Council meetings as Secretariat and provide support to executive members including the SAOP, CPO, and Privacy Program direct hire staff
    • Address all incidents routed to the Privacy Program and/or Privacy Mailbox to include creating incident tickets, US-CERT reporting coordination, investigation, remedial training, mitigation, incident tracking
    • Maintain the PII Holdings Inventory and prepare required draft documents for submission to OMB for the SAOP FISMA reporting
    • Review and comment on draft documents to facilitate Privacy clearance Prepare Presentations for upper level and internal briefings as required
    • Prepare weekly status reports of all projects and routine document processing
    • Keep and provide meeting minutes for all Privacy related meetings
    • Provide technical advice on Privacy workflows and increasing their efficiency
    • Ensure the integrity of documents by ensuring all documents going through the signature process are complete and correct, and do have post signature revisions
    • Ensure document approvals follow the workflow on routing sheets and all routing sheets are completed fully and accurately
    • Ensure that all final documents and working versions are archived immediately in the common Privacy Drives and File folders in appropriate formats to allow continuity should staff rotate or become unavailable
    • Ensure that all work product created is completely transferred to the Privacy team upon any individual leaving the Agency
    • Ensure that Privacy Direct Employees approve all Telework prior to performance along with the objectives, and a report of accomplishments after the work is performed


    • Education:
      • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Required Knowledge/Experience:
      • A combination of 10 years’ experience and education of demonstrated experience in Privacy minimum

    • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Sr Program Executive
