  • Overview

    Responsible over all operations and functional task areas of the Department. As a component of the Department’s cybersecurity capability responsible for cybersecurity operations including compliance, preventative control monitoring, and cybersecurity event analysis and response, and scoped to support the Bureau of Information Resource Management’s (IRM) cybersecurity defense in-depth approach.

    Facilitate the IRM monitoring of the current IRM Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions and other tools supporting log aggregation, analysis, and alerting, Monitor the current network infrastructure for threat intelligence and will participate as a key stakeholder in requirements gathering for cybersecurity system enhancements and the development of new networks.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in providing IRM leadership for operational cybersecurity monitoring, detection, and response to protect and defend the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of networks and information systems under the purview and control of the Chief Information Officer
    • Assist in coordinating the day-to-day activities required to deliver all projects and deliverables on time
    • Assist in identifying and mitigating risks throughout the schedule
    • Assist in hosting recurring project meetings and deliver status updates to all stakeholders
    • Assist in managing external dependencies and logistics
    • Assist in managing teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations
    • Assist in Developing the overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria for the department
    • Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs
    • Work with senior technical leads, and client counterparts to develop technical innovation strategy for the program
    • Prepare and deliver technology briefings and white papers to team and government managers
    • Prepare status reports and briefings
    • Identify and analyze problems, taking the initiative to implement improvements identified with a recognized business benefit
    • Actively participate in client discussions, meetings, and business development opportunities

    Qualifications

    • Education:
      • College degree in Information Security or relevant field
    • Required Knowledge/Experience:
      • 10+ years of knowledge and experience with Cyber Security Programs
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
      • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
      • Ability to prioritize duties based on shifting demands
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
      • PMP, CISSP
      • Cybersecurity Threat Communications and Intelligence
      • Operational Incident Management
      • Remediation and Recovery Support

    Other Responsibilities

    • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Executive
