Overview

Function as a key program manager (KPM).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) with the Government and speak on behalf of the company
  • Make administrative and personnel decisions on behalf of the company
  • Act as primary interface and point of contact with customer program authorities for the network backbone systems, and DINs (Dedicated Independent Networks) backbone systems environments network support services
  • Make recommendations in consultation with customer program authorities for program implementation of the Primary network backbone systems, and DINs (Dedicated Independent Networks) backbone systems environments network support services, including design, material/equipment requirements and requisition, and the establishment, installation and ongoing maintenance of systems and networks
  • Provide input to Government policy level discussions regarding project standards and budget constraints
  • Provide regular and ongoing status reports to customer program authorities
  • Assign tasks to contract personnel of the Primary network backbone systems and  DINs backbone systems (Dedicated Independent Networks) environments network support services for program implementation
  • Coordinate activities, review, and evaluate personnel work to ensure that it conforms to the Performance Work Statement requirements
  • Work proactively to support Government management
  • Provide architect engineering services and oversee support for emerging technology integration into the Primary network backbone systems and DINs backbone systems (Dedicated Independent Networks) environments
  • Provide tier 4 network troubleshooting support for the  Primary network backbone systems   and  DINs backbone systems  environments

Qualifications

  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Must possess one of the following Industry recognized certifications
      • Cisco CCNP
      • Cisco CCNP Security
      • Cisco CCDP
    • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience
    • Expert Level experience with campus wide wireless deployment
    • Expert Level understanding of wireless signal propagation, wireless bands, wireless signal strength management, heat map design, and facility construction interference assessment
    • Expert experience in wireless security configuration and Bring Your Own Device wireless deployment
    • Expert knowledge of Department Of State DS wireless configuration guidelines and FAM regulations
    • Expert Level understanding of packet inspection technologies, particularly as these relate to:
      • tcp packet header inspection and intrusion protection
      • ip packet data inspection and intrusion protection
      • application level packet inspection and intrusion protection for sql injection and cross-site scripting events
    • Expert knowledge of Web Server Load balancing; F5 load balancer LTM modules, F5 load balancer ASM modules, and high availability network engineering principles
    • Expert knowledge of LAN administration; Internet protocols, servers and services; Cisco campus based routing and switching, Cisco DMZ based routing and switching
    • Expert knowledge of packet analysis systems, including NetVCR packet capture appliances, deep packet inspection, and intrusion protection systems
    • Expert knowledge of firewall systems and ASA Next Gen firewall configuration
    • Experience must have been acquired in a Windows-based (2008/Windows 7 or higher) client/server environment with the ability to successfully adapt current environment to higher versions (e.g., Windows 2012 or higher server/Windows 10 or higher client)
    • Experience providing an advanced level of customer support directly assisting end-user clientele while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills and a customer-service orientation
    • Demonstrated technical expertise to evaluate current technical capabilities and provide input to advise Government on future technical enhancements
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
    • Architecture experience of network backbone services in Learning Management Systems (LMS)
    • Distance learning DMZ environments (preferably the Learn.com LearnCenter platform)
    • Architecture experience of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) WiFi network platform
    • F5 load balancing architecture
    • Architecture Cisco 6509 and 4500 core architectures
    • Architecture experience of NetApp Storage Systems
    • Architecture experience of Syncsort software systems
    • Architecture experience of CommVault Software Sytems
    • Architecture experience of VMware virtualization services
    • Architecture experience of network monitoring software Expertise with state-of-the-art security monitoring systems, preferably, the Niksun NetVCR packet capturing and intrusion protection platforms, Cisco IPS appliances, Cisco ASA firewall systems, F5
    • Application Security Manager appliances
    • The use of customized security logging systems in a web-based learning environment

  • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager
