Provide technical guidance, software installation, software configuration and system troubleshooting Joint Global Command and Control (GCCS-J), VMware, Windows, Windows exchange, Storage, Symantec, SharePoint, and Cisco products.


  • Provide software installation, configuration, technical guidance and troubleshooting various systems that include GCCS-J, VMware, Windows, SharePoint, and Cisco products
  • Provide classroom and hands-on instruction in the operation, employment, principles, practices, tactics and techniques associated with JTF communications network equipment
  • Plan, program, provide curriculum development, and execution of classroom and practical application, periods of instruction, and validate and update training plans to facilitate enhanced training and improved technical and tactical skills of JTF system operators and maintainers
  • Perform all systems integration functions on server farms involving software products such as GOTS or COTS
  • Perform daily system administration operations to include the configuration, administration of Active Directory 2008, Exchange 2010, and various Microsoft based services and servers such as DNS, DHCP, File, and Print
  • Upgrade host and virtual machines as needed
  • Ensure sufficient resources for virtual machines and virtual center compliance
  • Maintain Security Configuration Management (SCM) and Time Compliant Technical Orders (TCTO)
  • Execute server builds and deployments supporting various application servers
  • Coordinate tasks with team’s SharePoint developers and engineers to create and administrate test networks, both virtual and physical


  • Education:
    • IAT II (GSEC, Security+ CE or SSCP) certification required at time of contract award
    • Must be able to obtain Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) within 6 months of hire
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Firm grasp of iSCSI SAN, Dell blade server, Microsoft operating systems, VMware 4.0/5X or newer, and backup server technology
    • Experience in the operation, configuration, administration, and management of Windows operating systems, Exchange services, and large DNS, WINS, and DHCP networks
    • Advanced troubleshooting skills on server operating systems and layered products, server security, upgrades and deployment of security and operating system patches
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Lift up to 50lbs

Other Responsibilities

  • This position requires ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS up to 25%
  • During contingency operations (deployments or exercises), an alternate work schedule may be required to support 24/7 operations; field conditions are likely
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry minimum man lift requirements
  • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Network Administrator
